6月13日，中國南方航空(以下簡稱“南航”)與海南省三亞市人民政府在三亞舉行新聞發布會。宣布將于7月12日開通三亞-倫敦直飛航線。這是中國民航開通的首條由海南直飛歐洲的定期航線，是黨中央決定支持海南全島建設自由貿易試驗區，支持海南逐步探索、穩步推進中國特色自由貿易港建設以來，海南開通的第一條洲際航線。

　　南航有關負責人表示，南航將以開通三亞—倫敦航線為契機，持續完善海南地區的航線網絡，帶動海南與國際、國內的客流、物流、信息流和資金流，從而更好地服務海南的經濟社會發展。

　　該航線使用空客A330-200型寬體客機執飛，航班號為CZ651/652，每周兩班，飛行時長約為12小時。去程每周四、周日13:15從三亞起飛，18:45抵達倫敦;回程航班是每周四、周日22:10從倫敦起飛，次日16:00抵達三亞(以上均為當地時間)。

　　The airline uses the Airbus A330-200 wide-bodied passenger aircraft to fly, the flight number is CZ651/652, two flights per week, and flight time is about 12 hours. The trip leaves from Sanya at 13:15 every Thursday and Sunday, and arrives at London at 18:45; the return flight take off from London at 22:10 every Thursday and Sunday, and arrives in Sanya at 16:00 the next day (the above are local time ).
